Chaining is finding … Chaining is finding a species of pokemon in a row many times to get a shiny. As your chain goes up, your odds of getting a shiny get better (formula: 8192 / X = a one in X chance to get a shiny patch, which has a shiny in it, X being the number your chain is at). You get the poke radar after you beat the elite for and see all of the sinnoh pokemon.
I personally dont … I personally dont condone cloning, but if you get a good chain you could get 10 or more shiny eevees that are all different and maybe better than each other.

It’s difficult to decide because I could do the Soft Reset and get an Eevee and clone it as many times as I want, and migrate them all… or I could use the Pokeradar, which is faster to get one shiny, but it’s harder to clone in Diamond and Pearl. What do you all think?

It took me a very long time to “master” chaining, and my chains *still* break. I get irritated, yell, then pick up Pearl and try again. It’s worth it. (Hey, the shiny Elekid I caught was #2 in a chain of six and I thought I would NEVER get one. Keep at it!)

yeah thanks. i … yeah thanks. i still have a zigzagoon chain going from yesterday lol. i chained them and got a shiny at 39, but it broke while i was resetting. i knew i’d have to chain them eventually again in order to have shiny linoone. so i tried again and got the chain to 32 and then went to bed. i’ll probably resume the chain today.
congrats on all of … congrats on all of the shiny eevees! this was the month i started using the poke radar. it took me some time to chain well, but now i have 117 shinies. oh yeah, and when i got my first poke radar shiny, it was at chain of 27 (machop). and i reset a lot because i didn’t want my chain to break. that may be why i got another shiny patch at a chain of 29, which i am extremely glad i filmed. i don’t know anyone else who filmed a shiny patch at that low of a chain.
You can only keep 2 … You can only keep 2 rare pokemon in the garden at a time. If you talk to him again, the 1st will be replaced by the 3rd and the 2nd with the 4th pokemon he mentions and so on and so forth. The 2 that you keep will always be there until you talk to him again.
This shiny Eevee was caught on Nov. 8, 2007. At chain 54, Trophy Garden. It showed up after a battle. I caught a total of 17 shiny Eevee that day.
