In many African nations they have to harvest 10% of the elephants each year to maintain population balence. The over abundance of animals if left uncontrolled would create a situation where the land can’t support their population. Hunting is an important conservation method employed by these nations in their overall sound game management programs.

It must have cost you A LOT for such an adventure? Do the governments of these countries make money on this? I bet BIG TIME, otherwise the local natives could do the same thing, and with faaar less expense. It would be one native and one high powered rifle, not 4 scared, out-of-shape children. They don’t need the great white hunter to show them how it’s done. Why didn’t you give the skin and tusks to the poor natives? Worth too much?? Don’t want them to be tempted to go out and kill, huh??!!
