I live in north/central Tennessee and they are working on repopulating the elk here.if i’m not mistaken 2008 was the first hunts available(very very few permits),i’m thinking it was just like 25 elk available to harvest.there are a few farms around here that the farmers i guess help with the release program by keeping elk in there fields(with very high fences)until they are ready for release.I can’t wait till i take a big bad bull with a bow,i’m ready for something bigger thana deer
